This fee applies to all residents and covers essential daily living expenses. It is set by the government at 85% of the single basic age pension and is adjusted twice a year to match pension increases.
This fee is an additional contribution that some residents may need to pay, based on their financial situation. Services Australia or the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA) will assess your income and assets to determine if this fee applies. If it does, there are annual and lifetime limits. Once you reach these limits, you won't need to pay any more means-tested care fees.
This fee covers your stay in the home and is determined by an income and means assessment through Services Australia or the Department of Veterans' Affairs (DVA).
- Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD): A lump sum payment for the room.
- Daily Accommodation Payment (DAP): The daily equivalent of the RAD.
If you’re required to pay the full room price, you can choose to pay the RAD, the DAP, or a mix of both. If you pay the RAD, the balance will be refunded when you leave our care.
